13-Year-Old Student Fatally Stabbed by Classmate in Las Piñas School
A 13-year-old student was fatally stabbed by his 14-year-old classmate inside Las Piñas National High School on Tuesday afternoon. Police are investigating the incident, which reportedly stemmed from a heated argument.
MANILA, Philippines — A 13-year-old Grade 9 student was stabbed to death inside the Las Piñas National High School yesterday afternoon. According to the Southern Police District, the 13-year-old victim quarreled with his 14-year-old classmate at around 4:30 p.m. during recess. “They had a heated argument. Then, suddenly, the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim,” Las Piñas acting police chief Fermin Armendarez III told The STAR in a phone interview. The victim was stabbed in the left side of his chest. He was rushed to the Las Piñas District Hospital, where he was declared dead at 4:53 p.m. Armendarez said the suspect, being a minor, would be referred to the Las Piñas City Social Welfare and Development Office and undergo an evaluation to determine his liability.
