Public Health University Announces Admission Cutoff Scores

Vietnam's University of Public Health (HUPH) has announced its admission cutoff scores for the 2026 academic year. The cutoff scores range from 18.8 to 22.9 depending on the program, with Social Work having the highest and Data Science the lowest. The university released this information on the afternoon of August 9. Only two of the university's six programs saw an increase in their cutoff scores: Medical Laboratory Technology and Rehabilitation Technology, which rose by 1.95 and 1.75 points respectively, to 20.25 and 22.0 points. In contrast, cutoff scores for other programs decreased. Notably, Social Work dropped by 0.9 points to 22.9, yet it remains the highest across the university. This year, the university is admitting 890 students through various methods, including direct admission, selection based on high school graduation exam results, academic transcripts, and selection based on the HSA competency assessment test results from Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Tuition fees for the 2026-2027 academic year at the University of Public Health are projected to range from over 21 million to nearly 39 million VND per year. Actual tuition fees will vary based on the number of credits students register for. Access to higher education remains a significant goal for many young Vietnamese, and university cutoff scores serve as a crucial indicator of academic level and university choices. The public health sector, in particular, is a notable field, aligning with the government's policy to strengthen the country's healthcare infrastructure and public health system.
