Vietnam Intensifies Efforts to Resolve Digital Transformation Bottlenecks

The Vietnamese government is demonstrating strong resolve and a high sense of responsibility, led by its leadership, in addressing and resolving bottlenecks hindering the promotion of digital transformation (DX). Party and government leaders are accelerating their response to these challenges through concrete directives and actions. Specific initiatives for advancing DX are being observed across various localities. For instance, Tay Ninh province has implemented a "100-day operation to resolve DX bottlenecks," yielding remarkable results. In Phu Tho province, "tripartite cooperation" is being promoted for the development of science and technology, innovation, and DX human resources. Nghệ An province is focusing on promoting DX and developing a high-tech STEM education ecosystem. Furthermore, Phu Tho province is transitioning to a governance method based on digital platforms, which is expected to bring about breakthroughs in command and operational efficiency. In Nghe An province, a special campaign is underway to definitively resolve "bottlenecks" in DX promotion. The concept that DX should begin with individual households, the "Digital Family," is also being emphasized, positioning it as a crucial step for DX to permeate society as a whole. These efforts are based on the recognition that DX is indispensable for Vietnam to maintain its economic growth and enhance its competitiveness in the international arena. Under its one-party system, the government prioritizes DX as a key policy agenda to balance economic development with societal modernization. Especially amidst strong economic ties with China, promoting DX is an urgent task for upgrading and improving the efficiency of domestic industries.
