Cambodia Awards Electric Motorcycles to Top High School Graduates to Foster Human Capital

In Ta Khmau City, Kandal Province, Cambodia, 48 students who achieved excellent results (Grade A) in their high school diploma examinations on August 10, 2026, were presented with electric motorcycles on September 19. The ceremony was attended by H.E. Chheng Saroeun, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Inspection, H.E. Nuon Sakhon, Chairman of the Kandal Provincial Council, and H.E. Kuoch Chamroeun, Governor of Kandal Province. H.E. Kuoch Chamroeun praised the students' hard work, stating that their success is a source of pride not only for themselves but also for their parents, teachers, schools, and the entire Kandal Province. He also commended the efforts of school administrators, teachers, and parents in creating a conducive learning environment. According to the governor, Kandal Province achieved remarkable results nationwide, with 186 students obtaining Grade A, ranking second only to Phnom Penh. The governor encouraged the students not to stop at high school graduation but to use this achievement as a foundation for higher education, further enhancing their professional knowledge, skills, and confidence. He emphasized that national development relies on human resources with knowledge, capability, and good ethics, and that a more knowledgeable and skilled populace strengthens the nation's regional and global competitiveness. Furthermore, he urged the students to set clear life goals, choose specializations that align with their passion and abilities, and continuously research and develop their skills to keep pace with the times. During the event, the governor expressed gratitude to philanthropists, government officials, and the Kandal Provincial Working Group, particularly the Ta Khmau City team, for their moral, material, and financial support to students and teachers. He also appealed to parents to continue encouraging and supporting their children's higher education, reiterating that human resource development is the cornerstone of economic and social progress and national prosperity. A student from Weslayan International School in Ta Khmau City expressed joy and gratitude for the attention and guidance from national and provincial leaders.
