Phu Tho Province Launches Journalism Contest on Party Building

Phu Tho Province, located in northern Vietnam, has announced the launch of a journalism contest focused on "Party Building," with a target year of 2026. This competition will be widely open to the province's media agencies, various branches under the Journalists' Association, and correspondents from central media organizations stationed in the province. Submitted works are expected to comprehensively depict the efforts in Party building across political, ideological, moral, organizational, and cadre development aspects. They should reflect the achievements, experiences, innovative models, and creative approaches in these areas. Content closely aligned with the 10 tasks and 3 breakthroughs, as well as the 6 key tasks and 3 strategic breakthroughs outlined by the 14th National Party Congress, will be particularly emphasized. The contest will accept entries in five journalistic formats: print, online, radio, television, and photojournalism. Submissions will be received from the launch date until October 1, 2026 (based on postmark), with an awards ceremony scheduled for October 2026. Outstanding works will be recognized with A, B, and C prizes, as well as encouragement awards. These accolades will be given to pieces that demonstrate high quality in both content and form, effectively enhance the promotion of Party building initiatives, and positively influence the political and social life of the province. Nguyen Manh Tuan, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mobilization Department of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Phu Tho Provincial Journalists' Association, urged media agencies and journalists to actively participate in the contest. He expressed his hope that they would invest their efforts and intellect to create high-quality journalistic works that vividly portray the achievements, successful models, effective methods, and advanced examples in Party building within the province, thereby contributing to the contest's success. Under Vietnam's one-party system, Party building is consistently identified as a paramount priority. Through this journalism contest, the commitment to strengthening the Party's leadership, maintaining discipline, combating corruption, and fostering overall social stability and development is reiterated.
