Philippines Slips in Global Innovation Index, Misses Government Target
The Philippines fell two places to 52nd out of 139 economies in the World Intellectual Property Organization’s (WIPO) 2026 Global Innovation Index (GII), missing the government's target of 49th. The decline was attributed to lower rankings in innovation inputs.
