Cambodian Ruling Party Official Meets Local Cadres, Urges Unity for Commune Election

On July 18, 2026, His Excellency Ke Kim Yan, Standing Committee Member of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), Member of Parliament, and Head of the Party's Working Group for the base level of Banteay Meanchey province, accompanied by working group members of all levels, met with party officials, branch leaders, village party branch members, and youth party members of Svay Chek district. On this occasion, His Excellency Ke Kim Yan conveyed greetings, blessings, praise, and thanks from Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Party, to all party members, leaders of all units, all types of armed forces, and all compatriots throughout Banteay Meanchey province. His Excellency Ke Kim Yan further stated that under the leadership of His Excellency Prime Minister Hun Manet, Cambodia has continued to transform difficulties into opportunities, strengthening and promoting the use of domestic products and job creation, demonstrating Cambodia's resilience. Through the strength of the great national solidarity, Cambodia has been and is continuing to move forward vigorously on the path of peace, political stability, security, social order, democracy, rule of law, continued economic and social development, and maintaining the stability of the people's livelihoods. With the work results of the Svay Chek District Party Committee, His Excellency Ke Kim Yan highly praised and evaluated the working groups of all levels and all party officials who have strived to achieve many accomplishments and achievements for the party and the nation. He also mentioned the ongoing efforts to resolve the Cambodia-Thailand border dispute, expressing confidence in the government led by the Cambodian People's Party. Concurrently, His Excellency Ke Kim Yan stated that 2026 is a year to prepare for participation in the competition for the 6th mandate of the Commune/Sangkat Council election, which will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2027. Therefore, all party officials at all levels and in all sectors are urged to continue to preserve peace, security, and social order, implement the "Safe Commune/Sangkat" policy and various legal documents, develop the local areas, and expedite the resolution of all requests and demands from the people. He also called for preparations to mobilize the people to register and verify their names for the election on the dates set by the National Election Committee, and to steadfastly maintain our direction: "One member, one vote for the party."
