Porsche Celebrates 75 Years of Motorsport Heritage with Experience Event in Da Nang

Porsche Vietnam hosted an experiential event at APEC Park in Da Nang on July 18-19, drawing over 5,500 visitors. The event was part of a series celebrating the German brand's 75-year heritage in motorsport. The venue showcased various Porsche sports car models, offered sales and after-sales consultations, and featured the Porsche Lifestyle Collection, complemented by an art space created in collaboration with partners. Visitors had the opportunity to experience and test drive internal combustion, hybrid E-Hybrid, and fully electric models. A central attraction was the 911 Dakar (No. 19), inspired by an owner's cross-continental journeys, which also served as the muse for a sketching competition and interactive art activities. Attendees also experienced the "Raceborn" fleet, led by the 911 Carrera Cabriolet, boasting 394 horsepower, a top speed of 294 km/h, and a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 4.1 seconds. In the SUV segment, the Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe, Macan GTS, and the all-electric Macan 4S garnered significant attention and test drives. Porsche Vietnam noted that interest in its SUV range continues to grow alongside its traditional sports car lines. The Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe combines a V6 gasoline engine with an electric motor, delivering a total output of 470 horsepower and a top speed of 254 km/h. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and offers an electric-only range of 86 km, powered by a 25.9 kWh battery. The Macan GTS at the event features an internal combustion engine producing 440 horsepower, achieving 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 272 km/h. The fully electric Macan 4S offers 516 horsepower, accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, and has a claimed range of 617 km on a full charge. The fully electric Taycan sedan was also displayed, with the 4S Cross Turismo variant. Porsche and Charge+ introduced fast-charging solutions for the central region, with charging stations already operational in Quang Tri and Gia Lai, and Dak Lak provinces. A station in Thanh Khe ward, Da Nang, is expected to be operational soon. Beyond vehicle displays, the Porsche experience zone included a visual art area, talks on technology and architecture, sketching competitions, interactive art installations, and simulated Porsche racing on simulators. Andreas Klingler, General Director of Porsche Vietnam, stated that through its sports car lineup, premium services, and experiences, the company aims to enhance brand appeal and foster a sports car culture in Da Nang and the central region. "This event marks a significant milestone in Porsche's nearly two-decade journey of development in Vietnam," he added.
