Siem Reap Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Urges Banteay Srei District Forces to Strengthen Discipline and Combat Crimes Effectively
The Siem Reap Provincial Gendarmerie Commander has instructed the Banteay Srei District Gendarmerie forces to enhance professional ethics and combat crimes, particularly online scams and drug offenses, to maintain security and order for residents. He emphasized the need for strict adherence to duties and prevention of involvement in criminal activities.
Siem Reap Provincial Gendarmerie Commander, Major General Se Tine, has strongly urged the Banteay Srei District Gendarmerie forces to enhance their professional ethics and discipline, and to improve their efficiency in combating all types of crimes, especially online scams and drug offenses. This aims to provide security, safety, and order for the residents in the area. The directive was issued during a visit on the morning of September 3, 2026, where a delegation from the Siem Reap Provincial Gendarmerie Command inspected and updated the work situation at the Banteay Srei District Gendarmerie base. During the inspection, the delegation reviewed the implementation of duties, work progress, force management, infrastructure development, accommodation and workspace conditions, provision of living necessities, and readiness for intervention to rescue citizens and suppress crimes in a timely manner. Major General Se Tine reiterated his call for the commanders and officers of the Banteay Gendarmerie to resolutely combat crimes within their jurisdiction. He emphasized that judicial police officers must not show leniency towards offenders and must not be involved in any criminal activities.
