P61-M Food Terminal Breaks Ground in Bohol Town

TAGBILARAN CITY, BOHOL, Philippines — A P61-million Regional Food Terminal for farmers and fisherfolk broke ground Friday, August 7, in Barangay Poblacion Weste, Catigbian, Bohol, in a move seen to strengthen the province’s agricultural marketing and food security. The facility, funded by Food Terminal, Inc. (FTI), will serve as a hub for the collection, storage, and distribution of agricultural and fishery products. This initiative aims to provide farmers and fisherfolk with a more efficient channel to market their produce, potentially reducing their reliance on intermediaries. The terminal is also expected to help maintain the quality of harvested goods and minimize post-harvest losses, contributing to more stable food prices for consumers.
