Damaged Road from Key Project Construction in Long Thanh Affects Residents

A vital road in Long Thanh city, Dong Nai province, has suffered severe damage due to heavy trucks transporting materials for a key project, disrupting residents' daily lives and commutes. The road in question is Bung Mon Street in Long Thanh city. Although recently repaired (on April 29th), it has already fallen into a serious state due to the frequent passage of large vehicles for the construction project. During rainy weather, the road becomes muddy and experiences localized flooding, making it difficult for residents to travel. Local authorities have carried out temporary repairs, but due to the weak foundational structure of the road, these measures are not sufficient for long-term use. Furthermore, the lack of drainage systems on both sides of the road contributes to water accumulation. The continuous traffic of heavy trucks is leading to the rapid deterioration of the road. While Vietnam is experiencing rapid infrastructure development alongside economic growth, balancing the progress of construction projects with the living conditions of local residents remains a challenge. In particular, the impact of increased traffic volume and heavy vehicles on existing roads is a common issue observed in many areas, raising concerns about the effects on residents' daily lives.
