Phnom Penh: Russey Keo District Governor Inspects Progress of 280m New Concrete Road Construction

On the morning of July 29, 2026, the Governor of Phnom Penh's Russey Keo District, Mr. Chin Bunthoeun, led technical officials and relevant working groups to inspect the progress of a new reinforced concrete road construction. The road, measuring 280 meters in length, 8 meters in width, and 0.15 meters in thickness, is located east of the Bak Tuk canal, Group 14, Boeung Salang village, Boeung Salang commune, Russey Keo district, Phnom Penh. According to Mr. Kun Sophal, Head of the District Public Works Office, the road construction project is part of the District Development Fund for 2026. Its objectives are to strengthen local infrastructure, enhance travel convenience, and contribute to solving traffic issues for the residents. This new road is expected to facilitate more efficient travel for citizens and goods transportation, thereby improving the quality of life in the area. During the inspection, the District Governor urged the construction team to carry out the work accurately according to technical standards, ensuring quality and safety, and to complete the construction according to the set plan. This is to ensure that residents can benefit from this achievement as soon as possible. Concurrently, Mr. Chin Bunthoeun advised the Russey Keo District authorities to continue paying close attention to organizing public order, maintaining cleanliness, environmental protection, and the aesthetics of the area surrounding the project. This is to ensure orderliness and appropriateness in line with the local infrastructure development.
