Vietnam to Reduce Public Universities by 20% Through Consolidation
Vietnam's Communist Party Politburo has decided to reduce the number of public universities by at least 20%. The plan involves consolidating universities in the same geographical areas, to be completed by April 1, 2027, as part of a national strategy to enhance the efficiency of the political system and local government structures.
