Bun Rany Hun Sen Donates Offerings to Buddhist Monks
Mrs. Bun Rany Hun Sen visited eight Buddhist pagodas in Tboung Khmum province, donating candles, oil, essentials, beverages, and cash to the monks. The act also serves to honor ancestors and pray for the souls of the departed, in line with Buddhist traditions.
Mrs. Bun Rany Hun Sen has donated various items to eight Buddhist pagodas located in Roka Knur commune, Krach Chmar district, Tboung Khmum province. The donation ceremony took place on Monday, July 20, 2026. Mrs. Bun Rany Hun Sen, wife of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia and President of the Cambodian Red Cross, accompanied by her relatives and wives of high-ranking officials, presented the offerings. These included candles for the rainy season, lamp oil, essential supplies, beverages, and cash, intended for the monks residing at the pagodas during the three-month rainy season retreat. The eight pagodas receiving the donations are: 1. Wat Ampor Wan, 2. Wat Hluong Kandal, 3. Wat Chum Niyik, 4. Wat Neak Wan (Phum 5), 5. Wat Chhuk, 6. Wat Tump Chrey, 7. Wat Ampil, and 8. Wat Suor Kalar. During the event, Mrs. Bun Rany Hun Sen paid homage to the Buddha by offering incense and flowers, and recited Buddhist precepts, honoring the teachings of the Buddha. The donations also served as a merit-making act, with prayers offered for the souls of her parents, Maha Upasok Ly Kree and Neak Oknha Preah Maha Upasika Bun Songly, as well as for the parents of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Neak Oknha Maha Phokey Sabboris Phokathip Hun Neang and Maha Upasika Dee Pok, and for seven other deceased relatives, wishing them peace and a good rebirth.
