Cambodian People's Party Urges Internal Unity to Secure Election Victory

Ms. Khun Khun Dy, a member of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) and head of the working group for Kampong Svay district, urged all party members to strengthen internal unity. She made these remarks during a party meeting with members of the Kampong Ko commune on the morning of September 6, 2026. Ms. Khun Dy emphasized that solidarity and internal unity are the most important core priorities for stepping towards success in the upcoming elections. Therefore, the working group for the commune, as well as all chairmen, vice-chairmen, and party members, must understand and stand on a single consensus, participating together in solving various challenges based on accurate and timely discussions, with high consciousness. She added that loyalty is a primary duty within the party to provide trust and confidence internally, especially for all party members, and to further strengthen their spirit and morale, creating a strong foundation that no political party can break. This is particularly important for young voters who have high potential to attract support from all directions, leading to the party's ultimate victory. Furthermore, she urged all party working groups to actively disseminate the party's achievements regularly to remind and showcase the efforts of the party leadership in supporting and building the nation. Ms. Khun Dy encouraged the working groups in villages and communes, as well as commune party committee chairmen, to work together to recruit more new party members, especially young people who have reached voting age. She stressed the importance of paying attention to citizens whose identification cards have expired, are lost, or damaged, encouraging them to obtain new identification cards to register for the upcoming election. She also urged them to strive to provide public services to the people promptly and effectively. "Moreover, we must continue to visit households to understand their well-being and needs to address them promptly and supplement them," Ms. Khun Dy added. Concurrently, she highlighted the border issue between Cambodia and Thailand, urging all party members to trust the Cambodian government, which is diligently working to resolve this conflict peacefully and in accordance with international mechanisms and laws. During this meeting, 33 people participated, and each received a cloth bag, a sarong, a krama, and 20,000 Riel. It should be noted that at the end of the discussion meeting, Ms. Khun Dy also visited the construction site of the new People's Party headquarters, which has reached 50% completion.
