SAN ANTONIO, ZAMBALES, Philippines — Several areas in this province experienced unscheduled power interruptions on Saturday evening as heavy rains and strong winds affected parts of Zambales. According to an advisory from the Zambales Electric Cooperative II (Zameco II), an outage that started at 6:08 p.m. affected the entire areas of Looc and San Antonio. The power interruption highlights the vulnerability of infrastructure to adverse weather conditions, a recurring issue in the Philippines, particularly during the typhoon season. Zambales, located in the western part of Luzon and facing the South China Sea, is prone to meteorological impacts.
