VNPT and VRG Ink Deal to Develop Smart Industrial Parks

Vietnam's state-owned telecommunications giant VNPT and the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group (VRG) have signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement for the period 2026-2030, aiming to drive digital transformation and sustainable development. The agreement focuses on jointly researching and developing industrial park models conceptualized as 'green, smart, and modern.' Key initiatives include enhancing telecommunications and digital infrastructure, and planning smart functional zones. This model prioritizes green management platforms, data center construction, and information security ecosystems to attract investment based on high-quality technological human resources. VRG will facilitate VNPT's consulting and digital infrastructure solution provision for both existing and new industrial parks. Joint efforts will also be made to implement clean energy solutions, optimizing resource utilization for production and high-tech agriculture, thereby providing businesses within these parks access to modern and sustainable service ecosystems. Furthermore, the partnership aims to accelerate the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in management and operations, alongside upgrading the GIS (Geographic Information System) for VRG to enhance production and business management efficiency across the group. Cooperation in Research and Development (R&D) and technology transfer will also be strengthened, with a focus on optimizing internal resources through mutual utilization of each other's product and service ecosystems. Notably, VNPT will support VRG's digital transformation efforts in major international projects in Laos and Cambodia. Tran Cong Kha, Chairman of VRG, stated that the achievements over the past seven years form the foundation for new management models and expressed confidence in the creation of new value through practical projects.
