Thailand Receives Sandalwood for Royal Funeral Ceremonies

A ceremony was held in Prachuap Khiri Khan province, central Thailand, to mark the handover of precious sandalwood intended for royal funeral ceremonies. This sandalwood will be used in the construction of several important ceremonial items for the royal cremation ceremony of Princess Bajrakitiyabha. Specifically, the wood will serve as the material for the 'Phra Kos Chan' (funeral pyre) and 'Phra Heep Chan' (coffin) to be used during the Princess's funeral. This donation signifies the deep respect for the monarchy within Thai society and the importance of traditional rituals.
