NLEX Traffic Conditions Affected by Flooding
North Luzon Expressways (NLEX) are experiencing traffic disruptions due to flooding in some sections, caused by rising water levels in the Pampanga River. Alternative routes have been advised.
Traffic conditions remain unstable in North Luzon Expressways (NLEX) as some routes continue to be affected by floodwaters on Tuesday, August 1. As of 10 a.m., NLEX Corp. reported the following road and traffic conditions in several areas, noting the buildup of water that is impeding vehicle passage. The water buildup was attributed to rising water levels in the Pampanga River. In response to the situation, NLEX has provided alternative route instructions for motorists. Vehicles traveling northbound (Class 1, 2, and 3) are advised to reroute on the Balagtas exit and use Maharlika road toward Central Luzon Link Expressway (CLLEX). Southbound motorists (Class 1) from Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) and Tarlac-La Union-Pangasinan Expressway (TPLEX) traveling to Manila are advised to reroute to CLLEX toward Maharlika Highway.
