Solar power projects to be implemented in industrial zones in Ayeyarwady

It has been revealed that solar power plant projects are being implemented to meet the electricity needs of industrial zones in Ayeyarwady Region, said Dr. Charlie Than, the Union Minister for Industry and Small, Medium and Large Enterprises Development. This was stated by Union Minister Dr. Charlie Than in response to a starred question from Dr. Htain Win, a Member of Parliament from the Chaung-gon constituency in Ayeyarwady Region, during the 25th day of the third regular session of the third Pyidaungsu Hluttaw, held on July 17. Dr. Htain Win, the Member of Parliament from the Chaung-gon constituency, asked about the measures to be taken for the development of MSME businesses and industrial zones. In response to the question, Union Minister Dr. Charlie Than stated that the state leader has instructed to strive to operate factories and workshops with solar power, and accordingly, solar factories and LED factories have been established, and coordination is underway for the implementation of solar power plant projects. He also said that the Industrial Zone Construction and Supervision Committee will define the types and grades of industrial zones in Pathein, Myaungmya, Henzada, and Maubin industrial zones in Ayeyarwady Region, and will reorganize and establish industrial zone management committees for each industrial zone. Furthermore, Union Minister Dr. Charlie Than said that the regional industrial zone construction and supervision committees, relevant industrial zone management committees, and entrepreneurs will have to strive to improve the types and grades of industrial zones.
