Young Argentine Experts Show Keen Interest in Vietnam's Foreign Policy

Young experts from Argentina are expressing keen interest in Vietnam's foreign policy, particularly its steadfastness in defending national sovereignty and its rapid socio-economic development and growing international influence. Jorge Gessaga, a young man from Argentina, noted Vietnam's resistance against foreign intervention, highlighting the lesson that a small nation can achieve the seemingly impossible with strong belief and determination under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam. This suggests the role of Vietnam's one-party system in fostering national unity and driving the achievement of national goals. Patricio Carmody, an advisory member of the Argentine Council for International Relations (CARI), emphasized Vietnam's rapid socio-economic transformation and its increasing influence on the international stage. This indicates Vietnam's focus on economic growth as a key pillar of its foreign policy, as it advances market economy reforms and deepens international cooperation. Vietnam is actively strengthening ties with a diverse range of countries, including Russia, Mongolia, France, Venezuela, South Korea, and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Relations with Russia, in particular, are characterized by a traditional friendship and a comprehensive strategic partnership, with cooperation deepening across various sectors such as politics, defense, economy, science-technology, and culture. This reflects Vietnam's pursuit of an independent and self-reliant foreign policy while promoting multilateralism and diversification. Furthermore, as a member of the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC), Vietnam has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting dialogue and cooperation based on the principles of universality, fairness, objectivity, impartiality, and non-interference. This signifies Vietnam's intention to play a constructive role in the international community. Economically, the State Bank of Vietnam sets daily reference exchange rates for the US dollar, aiming to stabilize the market.
