Bago Region Chief Minister visits 118-year-old grandmother

Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win visited Grandmother Daw Htar Tama, who is 118 years old and resides in Ward 5, Myo Hla Town, Yedashe Township, Taungoo District, on the morning of July 28, and paid respects, according to the Bago Region Government. It is also stated that the Region Chief Minister provided necessary assistance to Grandmother Daw Htar Tama. Grandmother Daw Htar Tama was born on February 23, 1909, and has now reached the age of 118. On July 23, 2015, then President U Thein Sein presented Grandmother Daw Htar Tama with a certificate of honor recognizing her as a distinguished elder of Myanmar. Photo: Bago Region Correspondent
