Kampot City Poly-Clinic's Agreement with B.S.S. Terminated, Services Halted

The Kampot City Poly-Clinic, located at No. 714, Kampong Bay Commune, Kampot City, Kampot Province, has had its agreement with the Social Security Fund (B.S.S.) terminated and will no longer provide health services. This follows the Ministry of Health's official decision to close the clinic. Dr. Heng Sophannarith, Deputy Director-General of B.S.S. and spokesperson for the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, stated on the morning of September 19th that the termination of the agreement with the Kampot City Poly-Clinic occurred after the clinic was officially closed by the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia due to severe professional misconduct and breach of contract. Dr. Heng Sophannarith further added that as of September 2026, a total of six private healthcare facilities partnered with B.S.S. have had their agreements terminated for providing services to B.S.S. members. As of the first week of September 2026, the National Social Security Fund has signed agreements with a total of 1,627 healthcare facilities nationwide, comprising 1,448 public and 179 private facilities. It is noteworthy that as of July 2026, the National Social Security Fund has a total of 3,821,792 members, of whom 2,096,849 are female. This includes 531,631 individuals in the public sector (159,477 female), 2,289,200 individuals under the Labour Law (1,336,220 female), 693,355 self-employed individuals (424,761 female), and 307,606 dependents of B.S.S. members (176,391 female).
