"A jet fighter from the Matupi side circled and dropped a 300-pound bomb on Bwe Li village. Rockets were also fired. It exploded on the village road," a local resident of Sami told the Ayeyarwaddy Times. It is known that due to the bombing, a bomb exploded near the grocery store of Major Hla Kyaw's son, U Lin Htan, and Daw Sein Nu, damaging the shop, a car, and a Sterling. "A bomb exploded near the shop of U Lin Htan, a school teacher who sells goods by the roadside near the village. The goods in the shop were damaged. The losses were considerable," a local resident of Sami told the Ayeyarwaddy Times. It is also known that last month, the interim government forces frequently conducted aerial reconnaissance and bombing raids in the vicinity of Bwe Li village, which was bombed.
