Phnom Penh Authorities Raid 120 Suspected Locations, Uncovering Online Scams, Drugs, and Gambling Offenses

Phnom Penh authorities conducted raids on 120 suspected locations on June 18, uncovering online scams, drug offenses, and illegal gambling activities. Six Vietnamese nationals were arrested for online scams, two Taiwanese/Chinese and one Japanese national for drug-related offenses, and four Cambodians for suspected illegal gambling. Fines totaling 44.48 million riels (approximately $11,000 USD) were also imposed.
