The Wazira International Standard Grand Theatre, located on Bogyoke Aung San Road in Kyauktada Township, Yangon, was inaugurated on the morning of July 27, with the attendance of State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing. At the ceremony, Union Minister for Information U Tin Lin, Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism U Maung Maung Kyaw, and Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Soe cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Wazira Grand Theatre. Subsequently, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing pressed the button to officially open the Wazira Grand Theatre and sprayed fragrant water on the Wazira Grand Theatre commemorative plaque. Following this, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing delivered a congratulatory speech regarding the opening of the Wazira Grand Theatre. It is also reported that Union Minister for Information U Tin Lin presented a souvenir to Senior General Min Aung Hlaing. After that, a video clip of the Wazira Grand Theatre was shown, and the Myanmar Motion Picture Organization, Myanmar Theatrical Organization, Myanmar Music Organization, renowned puppeteers, and the Myanmar Comedians Association performed celebratory performances. The Wazira Cinema was built in 1923 and is a historic cinema building, constructed with Beaux-Arts architectural style, incorporating French architectural elements from the 16th to 18th centuries, and adorned with sculptures. Currently, the Wazira Cinema has been renovated and restored to its original architectural style as an international standard grand theatre, and has been opened.
