Development Works: Regional development projects in Nawnghkio

Shan State Chief Minister U Sai Htein Soe inspected regional development projects in Nawnghkio Township of northern Shan State on Sunday. During the visit, the Chief Minister toured the Perennial Crop Research and Technology Development Farm in Ohmmakhar Village, where he viewed macadamia cultivation, tissue banana and highland coffee plantations, and value-added product processing activities. The Chief Minister also visited the Cement Factory in Laut Hpan Village to inspect factory operations and the construction of a new 5,000-ton-per-day cement plant.
