Phuket Authorities Seize 600,000 Baht in Illegal Cigarettes, Arrest Three

Phuket provincial authorities have taken a firm stance against the sale of illegal cigarettes, carrying out a large-scale crackdown that resulted in the seizure of contraband valued at over 600,000 baht and the arrest of three individuals. The operation, conducted in cooperation with officers from the Phuket City Police Station, took place at 7 p.m. on July 19th. Authorities executed search warrants approved by the court, targeting several shops in the Mueang district. This seizure highlights the provincial authorities' strong commitment to combating the widespread distribution of illegal cigarettes within Thailand.
