Kampong Thom Provincial Administration Urges Ministries to Prioritize Report Quality

Kampong Thom, Cambodia – July 17, 2026 – Mak Bunhong, Director of Administration for the Kampong Thom Provincial Hall, has urged officials from relevant ministries to pay close attention to their respective reports. Bunhong made these remarks during a meeting held on July 16, 2026, at the provincial hall to review reports, challenges, solutions, and work directions for the first half of 2026. He emphasized the significance of reports from the relevant ministries, noting that they undergo meticulous scrutiny by responsible technical departments and require approval from unit heads. This process aims to prevent situations where officials submit reports without a thorough understanding of the tasks, potentially impacting the interpretation of their activities. Bunhong further stated that the meeting necessitates the participation of all relevant parties to engage in active discussions, provide timely responses, and conduct thorough, honest, and responsible verification. He added that all ministries and departments must dedicate attention to this work, highlighting their achievements to accurately reflect past activities and preparing plans for future implementation. The objective of the meeting is to verify data, figures, work activities, and results achieved in the first half of the year, serving as documentation and a benchmark for the latter half, as well as to assess the progress of each ministry and department. Moreover, all ministries are required to present the challenges encountered during the first half to identify appropriate and timely solutions.
