Vietnamese Rescue Team Hands Over 7 More Victim Bodies in Venezuela

On July 1st, the Vietnamese rescue team operating at the earthquake disaster site in Venezuela successfully discovered and handed over seven more victim bodies to Venezuelan authorities on their fourth day of mission. These efforts were facilitated by information from local residents and collaboration with other search teams. The Vietnamese rescue team is divided into five units, conducting search operations. To date, they have recovered a total of 23 bodies from the rubble. The affected area has suffered extensive damage, including the collapse of a nine-story apartment building, and the Vietnamese expert team is engaged in search and rescue operations in these hazardous conditions. The death toll from the earthquake in Venezuela has surpassed 1,900, and the World Health Organization (WHO) has warned of the risk of widespread epidemics due to deteriorating sanitary conditions. The Vietnamese government dispatched the rescue team as part of its humanitarian aid efforts, demonstrating Vietnam's contribution to the international community.
