The Jakarta Provincial Government is preparing to develop two new routes for the Jakarta Light Rail Transit (LRT) after the Manggarai-Dukuh Atas line is completed. Pramono stated that the development of these two new routes will be the next phase after the construction of the Jakarta LRT to Dukuh Atas is finished. "Later, from here, the Jakarta LRT will have two new routes that we will develop. One is to JIS, for which the route has already received approval from the Ministry of Transportation. The other is to KCIC, to Halim," Pramono said at the Pemuda Rawamangun LRT Station, East Jakarta, on Tuesday (14/7/2026). Pramono is confident that the two new routes will further strengthen intermodal transportation integration in Jakarta. "If these two are connected, the connectivity will be even better," he stated. The provincial government confirmed that the continuation of the Jakarta LRT construction from Manggarai to Dukuh Atas will commence in early 2027 and is targeted for completion in 2028. Meanwhile, LRT Phase 1B, Velodrome-Manggarai, is targeted to operate in August 2026. To realize these projects, Pramono is opening up opportunities for financing through a "creative financing" scheme. The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will open cooperation with various parties interested in investing in the development of the LRT lines. "I have already discussed with the President Director of Jakpro, for these two, we will allow what is called creative financing, cooperation with anyone who wants to build Jakarta. And I am sure this will happen, because it is a dense route, many people are willing and want to," said Pramono.
