Korea Week 2026 to Showcase Korean Culture and Development Cooperation in Laos

Korea Week 2026 is being held in Vientiane, the capital of Laos, aiming to deepen understanding of Korean culture and development cooperation with Laos. The two-day event features exhibitions and activities showcasing Korea’s diverse culture on the first floor of Vientiane Center. Korean Official Development Assistance (ODA) agencies are presenting their achievements and ongoing projects in Laos, with special booths highlighting agricultural cooperation under the theme “K-Agriculture.” Visitors can enjoy a Random Play Dance session, try on Korean-inspired outfits, sample Korean food, and participate in various programs to experience traditional and contemporary Korean culture. A Taekwondo competition, co-hosted by the Korean Embassy and the Lao Taekwondo Federation, will bring together athletes from across Laos. Finalists will also demonstrate their Korean language skills on stage. The event aims to deepen public understanding of Korean culture while highlighting the longstanding partnership between Laos and the Republic of Korea in development and other areas.
