Cambodian Minister Attends Global Sustainable Transport Forum, Stresses International Cooperation

On the afternoon of September 22, 2026, H.E. Peng Ponea, Minister of Public Works and Transport, attended the ministerial meeting of the 2026 Global Sustainable Transport Forum under the theme “Implementing Development Initiatives and Global Governance to Enhance Deep Cooperation in the Sustainable Transport Sector.” Ministers from 28 countries shared their visions, policies, strategic plans, modernization efforts, governance approaches, and innovations in new technologies that can help promote the development of the transport sector to be more sustainable, resilient, and inclusive. They called for all stakeholders to strengthen cooperation further. As a result, all member countries of the forum expressed their support for the framework of development initiatives and cooperation in the global sustainable transport sector, which adheres to three principles: (1) openness, inclusivity, and non-coercion; (2) innovation; and (3) feasibility and good results.
