Music Ambassador Visits Rehabilitation Center, Highlights Importance of Physical Therapy

On August 3, 2026, the Disability Fund, in collaboration with the Association of Persons with Disabilities' Music Association, organized an educational visit to the Phnom Penh Physical Rehabilitation Center to understand the provision of physical rehabilitation services for persons with disabilities. The visit was attended by Ms. Kuy Enna, Goodwill Ambassador for the Association of Persons with Disabilities' Music Association, along with distinguished guests including Madam Nhem Morkot, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Women's Affairs; H.E. Chab Thoeun, Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation; H.E. Khom Pholoeun, Delegate of the Royal Government of Cambodia in charge as Director of the Disability Fund; as well as leaders, technical officials, and staff of the Phnom Penh Physical Rehabilitation Center, and numerous persons with disabilities receiving services. During the occasion, the leadership of the Rehabilitation Center presented the center's mission, role, achievements, and key services. These include physical therapy, the production and fitting of prosthetics and orthotics, and other physical rehabilitation services aimed at helping persons with disabilities reintegrate into the community, earn a living, and participate in society with dignity. Ms. Kuy Enna toured each section of the Rehabilitation Center, learning about the service delivery process and the techniques employed by technical officials. She also held direct consultations with persons with disabilities currently receiving services. Ms. Enna listened to the experiences and success stories of service recipients who have regained mobility and are now living and working more effectively. In sharing her impressions, Ms. Kuy Enna expressed her admiration for the dedication and efforts of the Rehabilitation Center's team in providing professional and humanitarian services. This visit deepened her understanding of the importance of physical rehabilitation services and encouraged the public to support and promote these services, thereby offering opportunities for persons with disabilities to live lives of equality and inclusivity. The Phnom Penh Physical Rehabilitation Center expressed profound gratitude for the presence of Ms. Kuy Enna, ministry leaders, distinguished guests, and all relevant partners who participated in supporting and promoting physical rehabilitation services, enabling citizens, especially persons with disabilities, to access necessary information and services for improving their quality of life.
