Cambodia's Ministry of Health Donates Advanced Medical Equipment to Kampong Cham Province

On August 5, 2026, Cambodia's Ministry of Health officially handed over advanced medical equipment to healthcare facilities in Kampong Cham Province. According to Dr. Prak Von, Director of the Kampong Cham Provincial Health Department, the province currently operates 48 public health service points, including three provincial hospitals and 45 health centers, with a total of 798 healthcare officials serving the population. The donated equipment comprises six small-scale oxygen concentrators, two large boxes of masks, and 1500 liters of alcohol. These essential supplies are expected to meet the immediate needs of hospitals and health centers, aiding in patient care, reducing the risk of infection, and enhancing the effectiveness and safety of healthcare services. The handover ceremony was presided over by His Excellency Dr. Uk Rabun, Senior Minister and Special Envoy, accompanied by His Excellency Sun Sovannarith, Governor of Kampong Cham Province, Dr. Prak Von, Director of the Provincial Health Department, and other relevant officials. During the event, HE Dr. Uk Rabun conveyed greetings from Prime Minister Samdech Moha Bovor Thipadei Hun Manet and his spouse. HE Dr. Uk Rabun praised the significant achievements of the Kampong Cham Provincial Health Department in providing medical examinations and treatment to citizens, particularly in combating the severe dengue fever outbreak. He also highly valued the spirit of sacrifice shown by the leadership and all healthcare staff in their efforts to fight various epidemics and effectively address general public health issues. This donation underscores the Cambodian government's ongoing commitment to improving public health and strengthening healthcare infrastructure nationwide, with a particular focus on enhancing medical access in rural areas and bolstering infectious disease control measures.
