Smart Partners with Nokia for Enhanced Roaming Speeds
Philippine telco giant Smart is partnering with Nokia to implement a new technology that significantly enhances roaming services abroad. MANILA, Philippines — Wireless giant Smart Communications Inc. is collaborating with technology leader Nokia to enhance its roaming services for subscribers abroad. The new solution, known as Core SaaS Edge, will enable international traffic to connect directly to the nearest point of presence within a foreign market, bypassing the need to route through the Philippines. This initiative aims to significantly reduce data latency, leading to faster browsing speeds and an improved user experience for Smart subscribers when they are overseas.
