Ho Chi Minh City Donates 'Heartfelt' Facilities to Naval Region 2

On September 8, the Ho Chi Minh City Committee of the Fatherland Front, in coordination with the Naval Region 2 Command, inaugurated several facilities to serve the training, study, work, and daily life of officers and soldiers. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Member of the Central Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Committee of the Fatherland Front; Ms. To Thi Bich Chau, former Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and Chairwoman of the City's Study Promotion Association; and Mr. Pham Minh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Committee of the Fatherland Front. Representing Naval Region 2 were Rear Admiral Nguyen Van Quan, Commander of Naval Region 2, and Rear Admiral Tran Manh Chien, Political Commissar of Naval Region 2, along with officers and soldiers from subordinate units. These facilities are donations from the Party organization, government, and people of Ho Chi Minh City, continuing the city's activities focused on supporting the sea and islands and caring for the military's rear services. During the program, delegates offered incense at the cultural park of Naval Region 2, learned about the unit's tradition of construction, combat, and growth, visited and learned about the facilities supported and implemented by the city, and performed a ribbon-cutting ceremony. In addition to the facilities at Naval Region 2, the city also provided practical support for units under Coast Guard Region 3, including a high-tech vegetable garden, a livestock area, a centralized production and processing system, and a sailors' club house. Each facility has a specific function, but all aim to improve training, work, and living conditions, enhance local logistical support capacity, and build a regular, green, clean, and sustainable unit environment. Notably, the sailors' club house creates additional space for recreation, study, cultural, artistic, and sports activities, contributing to fostering camaraderie and a sense of belonging among officers and soldiers with their unit. Through the contributions from agencies, units, businesses, and people from all walks of life via the "For the Homeland's Islands - For the Nation's Frontline" fund, the sentiments from the rear have been materialized into specific projects and tasks delivered to the officers and soldiers on duty.
