MMDA, DOLE Tap 10,000 Tupad Workers for Flood Mitigation
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) have signed an agreement to deploy 10,000 beneficiaries of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (Tupad) program for flood mitigation efforts, focusing on cleaning waterways as the rainy season begins. Workers will receive minimum wage for their tasks.
