Ecstasy Ring Busted in Bima City, Suspected Jakarta Supply

Four individuals have been arrested in Bima City, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Indonesia, for their alleged involvement in the trafficking of ecstasy, commonly known as 'inex'. Police seized 313 'inex' pills, believed to have been supplied from Jakarta. The arrested individuals are SA (29), IR (27), and AF (21), all residents of Talabiu Village, Woha District, Bima Regency, and SMS (16), a resident of Cenggu Village, Belo District, Bima Regency, according to Bima City Police Chief AKBP Mubiarto. The incident began when police officers conducting traffic enforcement on Jalan Protokol Soekarno-Hatta in Bima City stopped two motorcyclists on an N-Max for not wearing helmets. One of the riders exhibited suspicious behavior and attempted to flee, prompting officers to investigate the motorcycle's storage compartment. Inside, officers discovered two large plastic bags containing ecstasy pills, cleverly concealed with layers of empty plastic clips, empty tea boxes, and tissues, all stored in the motorcycle's seat. A total of 313 ecstasy pills were seized, with one bag containing 113 pills and the other containing 200 pills. In addition, four Android phones, Rp 800,000 in cash, a wallet, two bags, and two N-MAX motorcycles were confiscated as evidence. During initial interrogation, suspect SA admitted to receiving the illicit drugs from an individual in Jakarta. He stated that the ecstasy was sent to Bima via a night bus and was intended for distribution within Bima City. The Bima City Police's Narcotics Investigation Unit has taken over the case for further investigation.
