Four men arrested two days later for stabbing and robbing owner of Mr. Daddy Hot Pot & Grill in Mayangone Township

Four men have been arrested with evidence two days after they stabbed the owner of the Mr. Daddy Hot Pot & Grill in Mayangone Township, Yangon Region, and committed robbery, according to the Yangon Region Police Force. At the Mr. Daddy Hot Pot & Grill in Mayangone Township, Yangon Region, at approximately 10:15 PM on September 2, while the owner, Daw Phyo Zarlat, 31, was closing the shop with her employees, four men wearing masks entered the shop, threatened them with knives, and stole one iPhone 16 Pro, one Redmi Note 7, one Oppo mobile phone, approximately 1 million kyats in cash, and other accessories totaling about 6.9 million kyats. They then stabbed Daw Phyo Zarlat and fled. Daw Phyo Zarlat sustained three stab wounds. Based on this information, a case was opened at the Byintnaung Township Police Station (Case No. 195/2026) under Section 394 of the Penal Code, and investigations were carried out to identify and arrest the perpetrators. Security forces investigated the incident records and conducted local intelligence gathering to apprehend the suspects. On the afternoon of September 4, Sai Mon Son Gyi Htan, 29, a resident of Ward 11, Shwe Pauk Kan New City, North Okkalapa Township, was arrested at the corner of Kyansitthar Road and Kaung Dhamma Yeik Road in the same ward. Kin Lin Htut, 32, also a resident of the same ward, and Htet Aung (aka Pho Gyi Jane), 28, a resident of Yoma East Ward, Insein Township, were arrested on Bagan Road in Ward 11, along with a rice pestle about 10 inches long, which was used in the robbery, and one Oppo mobile phone obtained from the robbery. Aye Myo Kyaw (aka Pa Ka Nyo), 23, a resident of Yoma East Ward, Insein Township, was arrested at his home. Upon interrogation, the four arrested suspects – Sai Mon Son Gyi Htan, Kin Lin Htut, Htet Aung (aka Pho Gyi Jane), and Aye Myo Kyaw (aka Pa Ka Nyo) – revealed that they had stayed at the "Thida Ye Shin" air-conditioned guesthouse in Ward 1, Mayangone Township, on the morning of September 2. Due to financial needs, they had conspired to rob the Mr. Daddy Hot Pot & Grill in Alangphaya Road, Ward 1. They then went to the hot pot shop during closing time that evening and threatened the owner and employees with the rice pestle they had brought. Htet Aung (aka Pho Gyi Jane) stabbed the female owner three times with the rice pestle and stole three mobile phones and approximately 1 million kyats in cash. In this incident, four men, including Htet Aung (aka Pho Gyi Jane), who stabbed the owner and robbed the Mr. Daddy Hot Pot & Grill in Mayangone Township, have been identified and arrested along with one Oppo mobile phone obtained from the robbery. Efforts are underway to seize further evidence and take legal action.
