Cambodia Faces Worsening Cluster Bomb Impact from Thailand - 6 to 7 Million Bomblets Scattered
Heng Ratana, Director General of the Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC), stated that Thailand's use of cluster bombs during conflicts with Cambodia may have amounted to 6 to 7 million bomblets, exceeding the 4 million used by Israel in Lebanon in 2006. These munitions have been scattered across 335 villages in Cambodia, posing a severe humanitarian crisis and economic threat.
