Comelec Debunks Vote Alteration Claims in Lanao del Sur
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has debunked a viral Facebook claim alleging that an Automated Counting Machine (ACM) altered votes during the first Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) parliamentary elections in Butig, Lanao del Sur. Comelec clarified that ACMs only read shaded areas on ballots, making manipulation impossible.
