Two Vietnamese Nationals Arrested for Illegal Lottery Sales in Svay Rieng City

In Svay Rieng City, southeastern Cambodia, a joint operation by the immigration specialized force and the 24-hour security force has led to the apprehension of two Vietnamese nationals engaged in the illegal sale of Vietnamese-style lottery tickets. The incident occurred around 8:30 AM on September 12th. The individuals identified are Ho Yang Keo, 51, and Le Vht Eu, 30, both residing in Tay Ninh Province, Vietnam. They are reported to have entered Cambodia from Vietnam's Tay Ninh Province via the Sam Yeang border crossing and were conducting lottery sales within Svay Rieng City. Authorities educated the two men, securing a commitment from them to cease illegal lottery sales in Svay Rieng City. A total of 75 Vietnamese lottery tickets were confiscated. Following this, both individuals were repatriated to their home country, Vietnam. This operation highlights the authorities' vigilance against illegal commercial activities and cross-border illicit operations within Cambodia. Compliance with regulations is particularly emphasized for economic activities in border regions.
