The National Unity Government (NUG) Under the Ministry of Defence-NUG, Tanintharyi Regional Command People’s Defence Force (33) has been calling eligible new members. In Kathar District with heavy fighting in Sagaing Region, Kathar District Battalion (3) issued the highest alert to local people along the Bamaw-Mandalay Union Road and from neighbouring areas to follow road restrictions for safety and not to engage with the junta army. In Natmauk Township of Magway Region, there were exchanges of fire as a car with a colonel from the junta’s Gwaygone Communication Force was stopped. Reportedly, that officer was seriously injured and a junta soldier died on the spot. The military junta claimed that Kanyin Hydropower Project in Ingapu Township, Ayeyarwady Region, is expected to supply electricity to more than 10,000 households while also supporting the agricultural sector.
