Labour Affairs : Factory visit and mobile medical services in Nay Pyi Taw

Union Minister for Labour U Khin Maung Soe visited factories in Nay Pyi Taw and inspected healthcare services provided to workers through the Social Security Board’s Mobile Medical Unit. The Union Minister visited Maple Win Garment Factory and Chindwin Takhon Garment Factory in Dekkhinathiri Industrial Zone, where he met with factory officials, workplace coordination committees, safety and health committee members, and workers. He said cooperation among the government, employers, and workers is important for workplace stability and improving productivity. He added that the Ministry is providing skill development training and protecting workers’ rights under labour laws. The Union Minister also observed mobile medical services for insured workers, including health check-ups, laboratory tests, heart examinations, health education, and medicine distribution. The Social Security Board currently provides healthcare services to insured workers in Nay Pyi Taw through several clinics. It is also continuing to improve medical services for workers across Myanmar with updated equipment and medicines.
