Jokowi Reportedly to Attend PSI National Coordination Meeting in West Java

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is reportedly considering attending the National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) of the Solidarity Party (PSI), a political party. Ronald A Sinaga, also known as Bro Ron, the Deputy Chairman of PSI, revealed that the president intends to participate in the Rakornas to be held in West Java at the end of September. He stated that if the president's attendance is confirmed, PSI is prepared to mobilize up to five thousand cadres. "One of the wishes of a regional PSI official is the President's presence. Such is their love for the President that our regional chairman promises to bring 5,000 cadres if the President comes to the Rakorda event," Bro Ron told CNN Indonesia on Friday (11/9). Bro Ron further conveyed that the party's structure is ready across West Java, from the Regional Leadership Council (DPD), District Leadership Council (DPC), down to the Branch Leadership Council (Ranting). He is optimistic about President Jokowi's attendance at the Rakorda, saying, "Possibly at the end of this month." Recently, President Jokowi has been on a political safari to various regions. In early August, he visited East Nusa Tenggara, spending three days in Kupang city from July 31 to August 2, 2026. During his visit, the president engaged in various activities, including meeting seaweed farmers, attending the PSI Kupang City Regional Coordination Meeting (Rakorda), participating in a fun walk on Car Free Day (CFD), and attending a cultural carnival. In his speech at the PSI Kupang City Rakorda on Saturday (1/8), President Jokowi noted that the formation of PSI's Regional Leadership Council (DPW) across Indonesia has reached 100 percent completion. He stated that the party's organizational structure, extending down to the neighborhood (RT/RW) level, serves as a foundation for achieving a significant victory in the 2029 General Election. "Because from here (the RT level organization) we will have what is called a large engine, an engine with a large CC, and with this engine we will move towards a big victory in 2029," said Jokowi.
