Vietnam Pushes Legal Reforms for Fast, Sustainable Development: Top Legislator

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man reaffirmed on August 3 that the institutional framework must not become a bottleneck to Vietnam’s rapid and sustainable development. The country is continuing to reform its legal and institutional systems through a renewed legislative mindset and the accelerated application of technology and digital transformation. Bills are being drafted to institutionalize Party policy on State compensation liability. This initiative aims to enhance the transparency and fairness of the legal system. The Communist Party of Vietnam has consistently prioritized the development of its legal framework to achieve a balance between economic growth and social stability. In recent years, alongside efforts to attract foreign investment and accelerate economic expansion, Vietnam has also focused on strengthening sustainability aspects, including environmental protection and workers' rights. Chairman Man's statements highlight Vietnam's strong determination to ensure that its legal system acts as a foundational pillar supporting further domestic economic progress. The accelerated application of technology is anticipated to play a key role in streamlining administrative processes and expediting the enforcement of laws.
