Lao Cai Province: Army Mobilizes to Aid Recovery from Heavy Rains and Landslides
Following widespread landslides caused by prolonged heavy rainfall in Mu Cang Chai district, Lao Cai province, the provincial Military Command has deployed troops to assist residents in rebuilding their lives and restoring infrastructure. Efforts are underway in coordination with local authorities to achieve early recovery for the affected areas.
In Mu Cang Chai district, Lao Cai province, northern Vietnam, prolonged heavy rainfall has triggered widespread landslides, damaging numerous homes and disrupting essential infrastructure and transportation networks. To help residents stabilize their lives as quickly as possible, the Lao Cai Provincial Military Command has urgently mobilized its forces to assist in the aftermath of the disaster. Immediately after the landslides occurred, the Provincial Military Command directed the 121st Regiment to swiftly deploy 50 officers and soldiers. In coordination with local party committees, authorities, and other relevant forces, the regiment has been actively engaged in supporting the affected population.
