Thailand Eyes Unified Rail Ticketing System with 45 Baht Fare Cap

Thailand is advancing a nationwide unified public transport ticketing system, capping rail fares at 45 baht per trip, to lower living costs and enhance connectivity. The system, slated for a 2027 launch, will see Krungthai Bank operate the Central Clearing House for Bangkok and surrounding areas.
