Vietnam Emphasizes 'Humanity' in Cyberspace - National Cybersecurity Strategy Meeting Held

On August 6th, in Hanoi, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung, Chairman of the National Cybersecurity Steering Committee, attended the "Vietnam Cybersecurity Day" event themed "For a Humane Cyberspace for Everyone." This event was jointly organized by the National Cybersecurity Steering Committee and the Ministry of Public Security. The meeting highlighted new challenges arising from the rapid development of the digital economy. Strengthening the coordination between anti-money laundering efforts and cybersecurity in the cryptocurrency market was identified as an urgent task. The necessity of nurturing talent at the doctoral level in advanced fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), quantum computing, and cybersecurity to lead future technologies was also emphasized. Furthermore, the development of "elite" cybersecurity personnel in the digital era, along with the establishment of a security system for protecting state secrets and ensuring cybersecurity, was positioned as a top national priority. Vietnam, while pursuing rapid economic growth under its one-party system, is focusing on enhancing the security and management of its cyberspace.
